Maths Magic was conducted today in the activity period for classes III to X. Selected students from classes III to VIII competed house wise in maths relay while the students of classes IX and X were tested through a Maths Quiz. All other students from class III to VIII were engaged in outdoor activities like meow Game, angle Games, calculating the area and perimeter of parts of basketball court, circumference of pillars, finding the mean, median and mode of diameter of the trees, drawing a pie chart rangoli based on a mathematical problem, finding surface areas of different objects, geometrical salad, hopscotch games, dice games etc. The students enjoyed doing all the activities and got a first-hand experience of how Maths can be applied in real life. These competitions were organised in order to develop interest in mathematics and make learning of mathematics interesting. All in all, it was enjoyed and proved to be a good learning experience for both the participants and the audience including teachers.
