With this perspective, Sagar Public School, Gandhi Nagar organised the fifth edition of the Inter School Debate Competition, “Carpe Diem - Seize the Day” on 1st Sep. The topic of the debate was, “In dogged pursuit of the corporate dream, I would trade money for happiness,” The judges for the event were Dr. Seema Raizada Professor MLB College & Dr. Medhavi Chourey, Trainer Communication Skills. Speakers from 25 schools from various parts of the state vied for the honours, using skills like overstatement rhetoric and irony to convince the audience.
All the teams exhibited great oratorical skills and validated their arguments confidently and emphatically. At the end of the heated but engaging debate which lasted for four hours, wherein Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School bagged the 1st prize For the Motion & Campion School, bagged the 1st prize Against the Motion. SPSGN was declared the runner up For the Motion and Billabong was runner up Against the Motion. The Rolling Trophy was awarded to Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School.
The best speakers received Kindles & trophies as the First prize and the Second best speakers won Titan Watches along with the trophies.
The mentor teacher of all the schools also received a token of appreciation.
The day concluded with participation certificates and food packet distribution to all the teams along with the group photographs of all the teams as a souvenir.
