The Investiture Ceremony of Sagar Public School Gandhi Nagar for the academic session 2019 - 20 was held on July 10, 2019 with great pomp and dignity in a spectacular ceremony. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Brig. Anil Hooda, Group Commander, HQ, NCC, Bhopal. Principal, Ms. Alpa Prabhu welcomed the gathering on a vibrant note and filled the air with the spirit of unity and dynamism through her positive thoughts.
The Investiture ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. Donning the mantle of accountability, the staff representatives and the school council also pledged to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities. The ceremony was held with lots of zeal and zest. It was commenced with the lighting of the lamp followed by a welcome song by the school choir group based on four houses.
The elected leaders were conferred with badges and sashes by Honourable Chief Guest, Director, Madam Principal, Dean Sir and Vice Principal. The Students’ Council took the pledge to hold the school motto of loyalty, truth and honour in high esteem. Brig. Anil Hooda congratulated them and admonished them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties. He also exhorted them to uphold the values of their school high. Director Dr. Jaishree Kanwar addressed the prefectorial team and guided them through her inspiring words.
The students with outstanding results in CBSE Board were also awarded along with their mentor teachers. Sharayu Awachat and Sonali Singh of class XII were awarded with “Shanta Samman” and a cash prize of Rs.5,000 was given to them. Parents of the office bearers and awardees held their head high with pride. A mesmerising dance performance added delight to the atmosphere. As an eco friendly gesture all the guests were presented were a sapling.
