ASPIRE by Ms Bhawna Jaiswal (Story Teller)

Story-telling is a universal and traditional art form that has featured strongly in Indian culture as an effective communication tool. It can be used to inform, entertain and educate. It is often used as a medium to ingrain values, improving reading skills and opening the minds of children to worlds beyond imagination.

A workshop for story-telling was thus organized on 14th August 2018 at SPSGN for classes VI, VII and VIII under the specialized program “ASPIRE” , by Ms. Bhawna Jaiswal who has been pursuing her passion, i.e. photography for the last 27 years. She is a serious art lover, who is constantly engaged in search of possibilities for artistic creations. The session was indeed valuable and distinct. Children found it really interesting and were engrossed in the story of “The king and the monitor lizard” which was told to them with creative gestures and facial expressions. On this occasion Ms. Bhawna also introduced and inaugurated her new book “Goh aur Raja Hukum Singh”. It was an interactive session where children were sensitized towards caring for the environment.
