80th Independence Day Celebration

On 15 August 2026, the 80th Independence Day was celebrated with vibrant enthusiasm and deep patriotic pride. The day commenced with the flag hoisting by Madam Principal, Ms Alpa Prabhu, along with the Senior Mentors. \r\nThe programme began with a soul-stirring musical performance by Satpura House, followed by a poem recitation by the Junior Sagarites. Addressing the gathering, Madam Principal emphasised the value of freedom and urged students to use it responsibly and productively as citizens of the nation.The highlight of the cultural programme was the spirited Inter-House Nrityollas Competition for Classes III–V judged by Ms. Pragya Sharma, an experienced Kathak Dancer with 15 years of enriching experience \r\nand Ms. Aaruni Richhariya, Founder, Nagbrahma Society, Bhopal in which Himachal House emerged as the Winner, beautifully portraying the Bengal Tiger and highlighting its significance as India’s National Animal. Energetic patriotic dance performances celebrating the National Symbols and the Tricolour further immersed everyone in the spirit of the occasion. The School Director, Dr Jaishree Kanwar, delivered an inspiring address on the significance of freedom, the role of youth, and the collective responsibility towards building a Viksit Bharat. She reminded students that the freedom they enjoy today was earned through the courage, sacrifices, determination, and struggles of countless freedom fighters, and urged them to value this freedom by contributing meaningfully to the nation. The celebration truly reflected the essence of Independence Day, honouring the sacrifices of the past while inspiring the young generation to shoulder the responsibility of building a stronger and more developed India.
