Carpe diem 2024 Inter School Debate Competition The eleventh edition of the Inter School Debate Competition, “Carpe diem - Seize the Day,” was organized by Sagar Public School, Gandhi Nagar on August 24, 2024. The debate centered on the topic, “Self-employment offers greater opportunities for professional growth and personal fulfillment as compared to traditional employment.” Judged by Mr. Takkal Chaturvedi, General Manager - Sales & Operations - TIS and Mr. Bhaskar Indrakranti- an Educator and Entrepreneur. The event saw participation from 24 prestigious schools in the city, along with two schools from Harda and Gwalior. The competition was marked by a dynamic exchange of ideas, with all teams demonstrating impressive oratorical abilities and backing their arguments with well-researched facts. This engaging debate not only highlighted the importance of critical thinking but also inspired the young participants to explore new perspectives. The Results of Inter School Debate Competition – Carpe diem 2024 are as follows For the Motion Winner - Aadie Shrivastava - DPS Neelbad I Runner up - Nishtha Patil - SPS Rohit Nagar Against the Motion Winner - Shambhavi Pethiya - SPS Saket Nagar I Runner up - Nistha Agarwal DPS Kolar Best Rebutter For the Motion - Srishti Pathak - SPS Dwarka Dham Best Rebutter Against the Motion - Mariya Nasir - SPS Gandhi Nagar However, the Host school, SPS Gandhi Nagar graciously passed the award to Shivika Shrivastava - Billabong High International School as the Best Rebutter Against the Motion Overall School Championship was bagged by SPS Gandhi Nagar. Being the host school, SPS Gandhi Nagar graciously passed the Trophy to Billabong High International School as Overall School Champion. At the conclusion of the event, winners were recognized with trophies, certificates, and prizes including a sound bar, hard disk, and earphones. Additionally, mentor teachers from all participating schools received tokens of appreciation for their support. The day wrapped up with the distribution of participation certificates and food packets to all teams, along with group photographs to commemorate the occasion.
